I love to skate and did a lot of figure skating when I was young. Sometimes, in early winter, our neighbourhood lake freezes before the snow falls and we get the gift of a perfect outdoor skating spot. If you look at the painting details you can see the blade marks on the ice. Some of the paint has a metallic lustre.
