Mudlarking I

by Catherine Gutsche

This is part of a four part series that was painted at an artist’s residency in 2021 on Toronto Island just off the south shore of Toronto, Canada. It was inspired by morning walks on the beach where the artist found many foreign items washed up on shore.

Acrylic and Stabilo pencil on watercolour paper
12 x 9 in

This work is slightly larger than 12 x 9 to allow space for a matte for framing under glass. Should you prefer to mount it on a wood panel for a more modern look you should consult with your framer.

This painting is one of a series of four. Should you be interested in the complete set, please click here: ‘Mudlarking Series‘.
